Interclub Program

Interclub is by invitation only and on a year to year basis, dependent on tryout results. It is not a steppingstone to Developmental or Competitive gymnastics but is for athletes whose physical abilities exceed that of GFA (Recreational programs). Invitation to this program requires a minimum age of 6 years old, an annual training commitment of September to June, and required participation in a minimum of 3 Interclub meets per year. Events focus on performance, physical preparation and skills. Performance categories (A/B/C) are determined by technical staff and athletic ability.

Each June an open call for athletes interested in the program will be made. Tryouts and testing results as well as if an athlete has participated in the program before, will be used in invitation to the program. Tryouts are held in August.

Strength & Flexibility Testing

The strength and flexibility testing is an in-house tool Coaches are using to track an Athlete's progress and trends. By testing the Athletes in those areas, we use the results to build a suitable program for each individual. It also helps with injury prevention and long-term Athlete Development.

If Athletes test seems discouraging, please understand that this particular testing is used for all athletes 5 and up all the way up to a National level. It is a testing program being used throughout the entire career of an Athlete.

As athletes increase exposure to the sport, conditioning and flexibility training scores will increase over time.
